§ 17-42. Permit required for connection to public sewer.

  • No person shall connect any private sewer or drain with any basin, culvert, or public sewer or drain laid for the purpose of surface or sub-soil drainage except by a special permit granted by the board of aldermen. No person shall conduct any sewer, drain or rain water leaders, or suffer the same to be conducted from the premises belonging to him or under his control, under or over the surface of the ground into any street where there is a public sewer without having the same properly connected with such public sewer.
