§ 2-110. Senior citizens center director.

  • (a)

    The senior citizens committee may retain a full-time salaried director, senior citizens center, of programs for the aging whose general duties shall be to coordinate programs for the aging and to assist the senior citizens committee in its study of the needs of the aging, as more fully set forth in section 2-193 (Ordinance No. 218, dated June 10, 1974).

    (b)

    The director of the senior citizens center, shall be hired by the mayor subject to the approval of the board of aldermen upon the recommendation of the senior citizens committee.

    (c)

    The director shall be subject to the procedures set forth in the merit system ordinance dated March 10, 1983 as amended.
