§ 7-26. Purpose.

The emergency medical services commission (EMS) shall oversee, monitor, coordinate and regulate emergency medical services and city owned assets used in conjunction with delivery of these services for the city. Their mission shall be to deliver the highest quality, cost effective patient care to those individuals requesting or requiring emergency medical services within the city.
