§ 16-122. Jurisdiction.

Vehicles abandoned or disabled under circumstances within the jurisdiction of the police authority shall be removed at the direction of the chief of Police or his delegate to places of storage by tow trucks, the proprietors of which are registered in accordance with this article. "Circumstances under the jurisdiction of the police authority," include, but is not necessarily limited to:

(a)

Motor vehicle accidents;

(b)

Motor vehicles abandoned on streets within the limits of the town;

(c)

Motor vehicles abandoned on town property other than the streets;

(d)

Motor vehicles abandoned on private property, which property is owned by a party other than the owner of the abandoned vehicle.
